DeElda is one of our country's foremost designers of contemporary needlework. She has been in the needlework business for 30 years, beginning with a custom design business and doing free lance work for magazine and book companies. Her work has appeared in such magazines as Better Homes and Gardens, BH&G Christmas Crafts, BH&G Country Home, Grandparents, Victoria, McCall's, and The Ladies Home Journal. In 1993, after looking for her "niche" in the national needlepoint field,she began designing in her current style, which many would describe as somewhere between folk art and funky.In addition to her design work, she has been an avid teacher of the techniques of handcrafts and needlework.
